We are committed to ensuring that all our students receive the best possible information and advice about choosing their Key Stage 4 options subjects for GCSE for study between 2025 and 2027. For further information on particular subjects, please see the presentations below.
Key dates for this year are as follows:
Week commencing 10th February – Year 9 tracking report sent home. This will provide current attainment information for each subject and give an indication of the grades that students may expect to achieve at GCSE.
February TBA – Year 9 options assembly for all students in the Theatre to explain the options process. In addition, the options booklet will be emailed to parents/carers this week for discussion at home.
March TBA – Year 9 form time videos and presentations about subjects that are new to students i.e. Business, Computer Science, Health and Social Care, Media, Photography, and Sociology .

There will be a presentation to parents / carers from senior leaders about the options process and options subject stalls in the diner and LRC where students, parents and carers can find out more about the options subjects on offer. Timings for the presentations TBA. The drop-in for core subjects will have bookable times (through the Parents Evening booking system) for parents and carers to discuss their child's Maths, English and Science progress.
